My doTERRA journey officially started when I purchased a Family Essentials Kit. But it didn’t really start until 12 months later since it wasn’t until then that I actually opened any of the bottles! Basically I was initially skeptical about them. Plus I think I thought I was too busy to deal with them.
When the oils arrived I did take them out their box and line them up on my bathroom shelf – but there they stayed, unopened, for months! Finally I came around to using some On Guard and Easy Air with my son Dom. He responded well to them, but I was still so closed minded that I assumed the positive effect was mostly from the ‘nice smell’ that took his mind off things.
Fast forward several months and we’d had experience after experience with the oils hugely supporting us both emotionally and physically. I researched and researched and the more I learnt about the company and its owners the more I was hooked and held my first class.
Now after doing doTERRA as a business coming up 3 years I’ve come to realise that although I love sharing the oils to empower mothers to be healers in their own homes, my deepest Why stems from my passion to educate, empower and inspire mothers to be change-makers, truth-seekers and fearless disruptors of the status quo in respect to their wellbeing and that of their family.

How Do I Get Started Building My doTERRA Business?
- Choose your doTERRA essential oils starter kit.
The best way to start your doTERRA business is to purchase some oils and start using them! The Home Essentials Kit (which is $394 including a bottle of fractionated coconut oil (“FCO) for safe dilution & postage) is the perfect kit to get started with because it’s the best one for you to introduce people to when getting started with oils.
- Choose your Monthly Wellness Box order*.
To earn commission with doTERRA you order a monthly Wellness Box each month. This is generally for your personal use but also for using as samples and examples for your customers. You can fully customise the Box each month. The order needs to be a minimum of 100pv (pv = points value) which is roughly $150-$200 in dollar value. This is your only required business investment and remains the same no matter how much income you earn.
* There is absolutely no obligation to make monthly orders in doTERRA as a customer. But if you’re serious about building a business and wish to mentor with me you’ll need to have the 100pv order set up and processing monthly.
