Good morning everyone! Hope you’ve had a great weekend. I’m feeling renewed enthusiasm for getting back to some basics of real food after attending the Pete Evans event yesterday.

The focus was very much on the fundamentals – regular home preparation and consumption of bone broths (aka great stocks), fermented foods and drinks (like sauerkraut and kimchi), lots of quality veggies and moderate amounts of quality meat. Oh and of course offal – learning how quick, easy and cheap it is to make a super nutritious meal like pâté – which reminds me it’s Nose To Tail Tuesday so check back in this evening on that – I just know you’re warming to the idea of eating nose to tail right?!

In meantime, here’s another Chef Dom lunch. We’re loving the Fejoa season – these from our Aunt’s garden. This lunchbox is more of a “nothing-prepared-make-last-minute one”:

  • Traffic Light Skewers (Olives + Capsicum + Tomatoes)
  • Steamed Broccoli
  • Fejoas
  • Egg & Lettuce Wrap
  • Dried Apple piece

To make the egg wraps just make a thin omelette type mixture and wrap when still warm.
